It’s the last day of June!
I hope I find you well and relaxed.

I hope you have had a week full of blessings, lessons and love.
Here are the powerful lessons and ‘Life hacks’ that I have been lucky enough to learn this week.

Lifting The Veil on ‘Illusions’
This week my lesson from the Universe has been a reminder about seeing more clearly, being willing to ‘lift the veil’ on the illusions my beliefs, stories and experiences have held in place. And…
Being willing to really see, acknowledge and take responsibility for what I find.
NLP - Communication Model
As a trainer of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), I am acutely aware of how that we as humans filter, distort, delete and generalise our experience so that what we consciously perceive is a tiny fraction of the information/reality available. And what we consciously perceive is based on past experiences, values, beliefs, decisions, attitudes and definitions we hold about ‘reality’.
We unconsciously allow these biases to colour our world.
This extends to the people we meet and the judgements and assumptions we make about them. It very much applies to events, situations and conflicts in out lives.
We see this playing out in full technicolour around the world today. The more aware you become of the ‘show’ the more you see the illusion for what it is.
The Map is Not the Territory
A further presupposition in NLP, is that the map is not the territory. What this means is that an event (the territory) happens, how we interrupt and make meaning about what happens is our interpretation and reality.
Two people can watch the rain fall and each create a different experience of that rain.
One can think it’s wonderful and long overdue, perfect for the garden and an end to a drought.
The other can decide it’s miserable, means another afternoon in doors and the dog is likely to cover the floor in mud from the garden. Just perfect when they’d had a picnic planned.
It’s the same event with different ‘definitions’ of what it means.
How are you interpreting your experience?
As the rate of change accelerates, how are you interpreting your experience of life? Are you merely looking at the surface of events, relationships and people without digging deeper?
It’s like buying a house based on its outside appearance without looking inside. I know it’s something I have been guilty of and that has changed massively for me over the past few years once I became aware of it. My moto now is ‘nothing and no-one are as they seem’.
The greatest gift I am giving myself is to go beyond the surface of who I think I am and peeling back the layers of the ‘shoulds’, ‘musts’ and definitions that others and the outside world have placed on me. The idea is to uncover the truth of who I am, my strengths and weaknesses, my flaws and all, beyond the illusions I have been inhabiting. It takes courage to move past ‘mass agreements’ to live the truth you know.

The Number One Thing For Business Success
I’ve been attending an Advanced Copywriting course and I’ve had huge ‘Aha’ moments over the past 5 weeks.
One if them is finally understanding the depth to which we now need to understand the people we are serving in order to attract and provide them with the exact product or service they are looking for.
Knowing your and serving your customer in the way they want/need to be served to get the result = Business Success
This becomes crucial as we begin to compete with AI written messages to attract our customers.
Here are three ways you can find the differentiating details.
✤ Do Your Research
This seems like common sense, yet small businesses and entrepreneurs can get caught up in who they think their client is and what they think their client needs and proceed from there.
Successful business owners do their research.
They hangout where their ideal client’s hangout in order to collect insights, opinions, what’s important to them, and what they are struggling with.
Successful business owners notice the nuances, the little things that may be the difference that makes the difference to their prospect. The thing that get’s them to say ‘you’re reading my mind’.
‘Knowing your ideal client inside out, makes a significant difference to business success’.
✤ Constantly Speak to Your Prospects to Lift the Veil.
Get to know their emotional triggers, what they dream about, what keeps them awake and when you’ve created the product or service that you think sells itself, ask them.
Use social media, use questionnaires, have conversations and be open to honest feedback to lift the veil on your perception of what you’re offering them.
Be willing to go deep, to discover what they like or dislike about your product, what is missing, what is there too much of?
What would make the difference for them?
Sometimes the smallest adjustment can make a big difference.
A taxi service that offers to turn up with a complimentary beverage of your choice for your morning commute.
The waitress who remembers your name and where you prefer to sit.
The holiday let that arranges to have your personal items unpacked and placed just right, and have the kitchen stocked with your favourites ready for your arrival.
Small things that can make a big difference to the choices a clients makes.
And sometimes it’s deeper and bigger.
Online businesses who send a card or a complimentary branded useful product to your home can really clinch loyalty.
Dig and dig until you find that differentiator. It can change everything for your prospect and therefore for you.
What would make your offer irresistible and remarkable?
✤ Speak Their Language.
Once you have the irresistible offer for the perfect client, speak about it in the language your clients use.
Be very aware of the words and phrases used in the niche or by prospects with the particular set of beliefs, values, emotions, triggers etc.
You can easily lose a potential client with the use of an ill-thought-out phrase.
Keep a swipe file of the words and phrase that are used and acceptable in your prospect’s world.
Also, note those that are emotional triggers, those that are unacceptable and those that cut to the heart of the ‘problem/challenge’.
Having this information, alongside your other research and ‘test’ results can set you in good stead to create powerful copy that AI just can’t find.
Be willing to do what it takes to know your clients mind, emotions, triggers, wants, needs, challenges, problems, desires and the perfect solution.
Are you willing to do the work and go that deep to connect to your prospects, as times change and the ability to grab attention is growing increasingly more difficult.
